Nearan Visarion became king under suspicious circumstances after his predecessor died after falling from a castle balcony. Despite his successful campaign during the Compendium War, Nearan was an unpopular king due to his tendancy to extort the noblity, and to burn potential threats to his reign. He was considered to be the brother-in-arms of Sabal-Ion Excalvur, a Kylotean soldier and blacksmith who betrayed his country to aid Venland. Along with Sabal-Ion, Nearan was the one to deal the killing blow to Keimusho Gikoku.
