Types of Magic
Light Magic
Light magic is magic that is considered legal in a majority of countries. Light magic consists of :
- Elemental Magic - Ability to manipulate the 6 natural elements, fire, water, air, earth, light and darkness. Light and darkness are extremely difficult to control. There are a lot of legal restrictions on usage of this magic.
- Energy-Based Magic - Ability to manipulate most forms of energy including electricity, heat and nuclear energy. Nuclear energy is very difficult to control. No one thus far has been able to control pure magic energy and have only been able to convert it into something else. There are a lot of legal restrictions on usage of this magic.
- Material Magic - Ability to manupulate specific materials such as carbon, iron, etc. There are a lot of legal restrictions on usage of this magic.
- Defense Magic - Ability to use protective spells and healing spells. This school of magic does not require a permit and can be used by anyone.
- Creation Magic - Ability to create objects from magical energy. Few people can do this as it requires a lot of concentration, and uses a lot of energy in the process. There are restrictions on the objects that can be created.
- Enchantment Magic - The ability to use magic to alter the properties of certain objects. There are few restrictions on this type of magic.
- Trick Magic - Harmless magic which is often used by magicians and illusionists.
- Transmutation
Dark Magic
Dark magic is magic that is considered illegal in a majority of countries as it can easily be used for the wrong purposes without detection. These forms of magic can, in some countries, be punishable by death. Dark magic consists of :
- Bio-Magic - Ability to manipulate anything related to biological tissue. This includes blood manipulation.
- Mental Magic - Ability to manipulate the mentalities of people. It can include emotional manipulation and illusions.
- Death Magic - Ability to manipulate the boundaries of death. (Necromancy) Very few people can control this magic.
Unclassified Magic
Unclassified Magic is only illegal in a majority of countries if is being used incorrectly. The user is often taken in for questioning to analyse how thery use their magic.
